Community dermatology services are for both adults and children living in West Sussex.
What does this service do?
Mid Sussex Integrated Dermatology Service (MIDS) delivers comprehensive consultant-led dermatology services and treats all patients with the following skin conditions:
- severe acne
- skin rashes, including psoriasis and eczema
- lumps and bumps
- some skin cancers-basal cell carcinomas.
The service offers assessment and treatment, including surgery, in a one stop shop, i.e. in one appointment.
Where are patients seen?
Mid Sussex Integrated Dermatology Service runs clinics in Hurstpierpoint, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill.
Most operate out of either GP practices or health centres such as Silverdale Surgery, Northlands Wood Surgery and The Brow Medical Centre, for example.
How can I access this service?
You will need your GP to refer you to community dermatology services. Following referral, the Mid Sussex Integrated Dermatology Service will contact you to arrange an appointment.
