Community dermatology services are for both adults and children living in West Sussex.
What does this service do?
Sussex Community Dermatology Service (SCDS) delivers comprehensive consultant-led dermatology services and treats all patients with the following skin conditions:
- Severe acne.
- Skin rashes, including psoriasis and eczema.
- Lumps and bumps.
- Some skin cancers-basal cell carcinomas.
The service offers assessment and treatment, including surgery, in a one stop shop, i.e. in one appointment.
Where are patients seen?
Sussex Community Dermatology Service runs clinics in Crawley, Haywards Heath, Horsham, East Grinstead, Hove, Burgess Hill and Steyning.
Most operate out of either GP practices, health centres or community hospitals such as Crawley Hospital, Dolphins Practice and Moatfield Surgery, for example.
How can I access this service?
You will need your GP to refer you to community dermatology services. Following referral, SCDS will contact you to arrange an appointment.
